If I had 9 siblings...

If I had 9 siblings...

If I had 9 siblings I wouldn't like it because I would have to share lots of things. If I wanted to go on a thing on TV and all my other siblings wanted to go on something else, I would be outvoted. Also, it would be very loud, day and night.

If I was the oldest of 10 children, I would like it a bit more because, well, I would be the oldest. Also, I would get to push them around a bit. It would also be bad because I would have to babysit them when our parents went out.

If I was the youngest, I would HATE it. I would get pushed around and teased, and I would probably get all the blame. But I would probably get all the attention from Mum and Dad.
Good attention and bad

And that's my having 9 siblings.

My dream job

                        My dream job

My dream job is... to be a singer or to write songs

It's all in a days work

                                It's all in a day's work

2 similar things about our homes now and wharepuni are: They both have a roof to cover the inside and they both have at least 1 or 2 windows.

2 different things about our homes now and wharepuni are: wharepuni's roofs are lower and our houses have an actual door, not just an opening.

Setting sail

Dear readers,

I am sending my letter to you to tell you about my travels to New Zealand.
I was really scared as we left our home in Polynesia. Our destination was miles away but we kept on going.
We traveled in a sizeable boat called a waka. I traveled with 5 other people and we all were scared but as we approached our new home we saw how beautiful it was and we lightened up a bit.
Now we love the new land we live in.

Sincerely, your friend, Miro.

THREE FACTS THAT I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT MAUI AND THE FISH

THREE FACTS THAT I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT MAUI AND THE FISH

Today we read about Maui's fish. Here are three interesting facts I discovered about Maui.

1. I didn't know that Maui's grandmother's name was Murirangawhenua.

2. The North Island is Maui's great fish and the South Island is the waka.

3. If the legend is true, lots of people will be living on a huge fish.
